Are there pilots here who have flown or still fly wide-bodied aircrafts(747,777,A340,A380) or fighters (F-14s?

What steps did you take to make it into the pit of these amazing aircrafts? I'm an aviation enthusiast and I just want to read about aviators/aviatrixes stories about their journey to earning their wings. One day I hope to earn my wings and take to the skies like Howard Hughes, Charles Lindbergh, the Wright brothers, Amelia Earhart and other legends did. An office in the sky is the best one for me.
