How weird is this about christmas?

i have a 23 year old daughter and we went to get her on Sunday just pasted for the holiday and she has the grandchildren as well and my husband and i went out of our way to go and get her so that she could be here for Christmas and be with the rest of her family and the next day her ding bat of a boyfriend called her on her cell and told her that his family were coming and she went home i don't think that's fair but what do you all think about that and her boyfriend is not suppose to have anything to do with her cause he is abusive to her and the oldest granddaughter what to do about this...
