What exactly are these "markings" on Mormon garments I keep hearing about?
The garments are sacred because of the covenant made with God in theTemple in order to wear them. The markings are symbols of what each part of the covenant represents. The markings are to be cut our and destroyed when the garments are no longer wearable.
