Can a Cricket Huawei Ascend be flashed to Metro PCS?

Im on a family plan and I really want the new Huawei Ascend, but our family plan is only covered with the $40 plan. By updating the plan to the $50 in order for Metro PCS's Ascend to work it will be almost $100 more than it is now. So I was just wondering if the Ascend for Cricket can be flashed over to Metro PCS and still be fully functional?
