Can racial profiling be helped?

As bad as it may sound Profiling is very useful, I myself being an ex-con should be telling you "no" and "Stick it to the man", but I cant any tool you can use to enforce the law should be used with the exceptions of violating privacy by illegal wire taps and the like because of race color etc.
