Defending my self against an attacker?

I've been going to a community college for awhile, in a bad part of town and the other day there were two robberies in the parking deck i use, one of which was armed. This really scared me because i walk to my car alone a lot ( i walk with someone when possible). I was hoping someone could give me a couple self defense moves to help me if I'm attacked. Let me first say that if someone wants my money I'm not to proud to just give it to them, however I'm not willing to be d or something without putting up the fight of my life. secondly I already have a whistle, and pepper spray, I am talking about if worst comes to worse and neither of those deter him and i have no other choice. and lastly I would like the most effect way to stop an attacker i don't care how dangerous it may be for him, if it comes to a point where i have to take physical action i will not hesitate to do what i need to to get away. thanks guys :)
