Was leonardo da vinci accepted by his peers/public/teachers/critics?

yes he was good, and worked for fancypants people w/lots of money. he also had students and delegades that started the sculptures and other works for him, like rough shapes and painting skies or seas or just backgrounds. he was a master in his field by all means.
